High throughputs, even in the smallest of spaces
The P60 – P80 rider-seated tow tractors from Linde Material Handling tow trailers with heavy loads and provide quick, safe and flexible processes. This allows the decoupled and spring-mounted suspension of all three wheels. It ensures quiet and safe travel. At the same time, the truck has high towing force and a small turning circle. Therefore, the throughput remains high even if there is only a small amount of space available in the warehouse. The operator benefits from a work station with lots of leg room, an adjustable operator's seat and steering wheel, as well as intuitively arranged control elements. The P60 – P80 electric tractors have a towing capacity of 6 to 8 tonnes. The top speed without load is 20 kilometres per hour.

Safety
Efficient and appropriate braking in any operating situation is crucial for the safety of the operator and the load. The P60 – P80 electric tow tractors therefore have four separate braking systems: the electric brake activates automatically when the operator releases the accelerator pedal. In addition, self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes that respond to the brake pedal are applied to all three wheels. The parking brake is activated automatically when the truck stops There is also an automatic uphill driving assistant that ensures that the truck does not roll backwards. The good all-round visibility and the solid steel chassis are both also important for safety. The operator is optimally protected by the tough construction.

Ergonomics
The developers’ main objective was to allow the operator to focus on their work and avoid getting tired. The trucks therefore have an ergonomic work station with lots of leg room. The operator can adjust the operator’s seat and the steering wheel angle. The control elements are easy to reach and are intuitively arranged. On both sides, there is a large entry point with rounded corners and non-slip steps. This makes getting into the truck easier. The operator can store all of their work tools safely in the storage compartments, where they can be accessed easily.

Handling
Linde designs the electric tow tractor based on a modular concept precisely according to the customer's vision. For example, cabs with sun shade, sunroof or side windows, sliding doors or completely closed, heated cabs are available. These solutions ensure simpler and quicker handling. The 4.5 kW three-phase drive motor provides a high towing force. At the same time, the truck can be precisely controlled, and in narrow aisles the small turning circle also makes every manoeuvre easier. The four separate braking systems also help to improve the operating performance, for example because it is quicker and easier to travel uphill.

Servicing
The P60 – P80 electric tow tractors only require occasional servicing. The maintenance intervals are considerably longer than in the previous truck generation. For example, the transmission oil only needs to be changed every 10,000 operating hours. The service technician has easy access to all important components, including the battery. Comprehensive diagnostics for the truck can be carried out using a laptop via a CAN bus interface. The multi-functional display shows the truck and battery status.

Tow hitch
Linde equips the trucks with an automatic tow hitch at the rear or a multi-space tow hitch for the rear and front.

Cabs are available, for example, with sun shade, sunroof or side windows, sliding doors or as completely closed, heated cabs.
Charging option
On the back of the truck there is the connection for an external charger.
Built-in charger
In this equipment variant, the charger is integrated into the truck. The battery can therefore be charged flexibly and irrespective of location.
Rotating beacon and warning light
A rotating beacon and/or a warning light on the operator’s cab ensure that people on foot and other trucks are better able to see the tow tractor.
Seat variants
There is a comfort seat with mechanical suspension and a super comfort seat with air suspension and heating.
Lighting for traffic safety
The truck has a complete lighting system in line with the StVZO (Straßenverkehrszulassungsordnung, German Road Traffic Licensing Regulation).
