Fast transport even in confined spaces
The P40–P60 C electric tow tractors are compact and manoeuvrable towing vehicles which are particularly suitable for indoor transport and line supply in production. Thanks to a wide range of trailer couplings, the P40–P60 C are compatible with a wide variety of trailer types. The special design of the vehicles allows the operator an optimum view of the trailer and load. The design is very ergonomic: the dashboard, backrest and operator’s platform are decoupled from the chassis and absorb shocks and vibrations. The ergonomic and intuitive Linde steering wheel is height-adjustable and can be adapted to the operator’s needs.

Safety
The P40–P60 C electric tow tractors are designed so that the operator's body and limbs remain within the protective contours of the vehicle at all times. The robust cast steel bumper protects the operator and vehicle in the event of a collision. When cornering, the tractor automatically reduces its speed. The P40–P60 C can be equipped with LED front and rear lights, turn signals, work lights, and brake lights that illuminate the operator’s area of vision or improve the visibility of the vehicle in operating traffic. Linde BlueSpot™is also available as an option.

Ergonomics
The ergonomic design of the P40–P60 C electric tow tractors enables the operator to work without fatigue. The vehicles have an individually adjustable backrest with fold-out seat and a spacious operator’s platform. The control elements on the Linde steering wheel are easy to reach and intuitively arranged. The operator’s seat and steering wheel can be adjusted to suit their size. A wide entrance with low step height makes entry and exit easier. The dashboard, backrest, and operator platform are fully suspended, protecting the operator’s body from shocks. Spacious storage compartments allow the operator to safely stow and quickly reach all work documents.

Handling
The P40–P60 C offers a towing capacity of 4 to 6 tonnes. Thanks to the powerful and low-maintenance 3-kW engine (2.3 kW with P40 C B) they reach a top speed of 13 km/h without load. The chassis gives the operator an excellent view of the trailer and load. A wide selection of different trailer couplings makes the electric tow tractors compatible with many different trailer types. The height-adjustable Linde steering wheel can be effortlessly operated with one hand and allows the operator to perform precise manoeuvres in any direction. The P40–P60 C can also be equipped with innovative lithium-ion batteries from Linde Material Handling.

Service
The robust design of the P40–P60 C electric tow tractors enables very long maintenance intervals and thus ensures a high availability of the vehicles. The drive wheel can operate for 10,000 hours before re-lubrication is required with no need to readjust the brakes. Non-contact sensors do not wear out. In order to carry out service work effortlessly, all important components of the vehicle are easily accessible and the cable harnesses are clearly arranged.

Operator’s platform with adjustable suspension
The suspension of the operator’s platform can be adjusted according to the operator’s weight. The operator is thus always optimally protected against vibrations and shocks.
Adjustable backrest
The backrest can be individually adjusted to the needs of the operator. A folding seat provides additional comfort and fatigue-free working.
Bumper options
There are many extensions available to further improve the protective function of the front bumper. In the event of a collision, the chassis and operator are now even better protected.
Adjustable steering wheel
The height of the steering wheel can be adjusted to suit the size and position of the operator allowing for even more ergonomic working.
Trailer hitch
If required, Linde can equip the vehicle with a 1-stage or 3-stage coupling. Also available is a manual remote release, which is operated from the operator’s seat by cable, as well as special couplings for route trains.
Pedestrian operation
Push buttons are located on both sides of the truck. They allow the operator to operate the tow tractor from the outside and walk alongside at the same time. The pedestrian operation allows the operator to move the vehicle comfortably without having to climb up again for short distances.
Lighting equipment
On the front and rear, the vehicle can be equipped with different LED lighting options that significantly improve visibility and safety.
Acoustic warning signal
The signal can be heard when the vehicle is moving, warning pedestrians and other vehicles.
